So, with no explanation from Daryl on this song, I am going to at least add what I took away from it…

It seems a lot of the references in here are aimed at governments and their abilities to lie through their fucking teeth while countless others are victims of practically sanctioned massacres.

It paints an image in my head of the many wars in the middle east, and the civil wars of South America and Africa; where outside influences tend to set-off firestorms (both literally and figuratively) within nations we are claiming to “help”. Just utter chaos with world leaders trying to soften the media blow by making it seem as if it was out of their control.

I could be way off base, and this could just be another hate song towards another hexed lover.
